Nepal Oil Corporation distributing petroleum products from 11 different petrol pumps

  Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) is distributing Fuels from 11 different petrol pumps in the Kathmandu Valley on Today. Owing to the blockade, the shortage of fuel and other essentials is gradually hitting the Kathmandu denizens and Nepalis across the country.

Spokesperson of NOC Deepak Baral said that the corporation is distributing 240,000 liters of diesel and 108,000 liters of petrol from 11 petrol pumps today. NOC is distributing petroleum products from following pumps.

  • Armed Police Force Headquarter, Halchowk
  • Sajha Petrol Pump, Swayambhu
  • National Trading, Teku
  • Army Camp, Bhadrakali
  • Police Headquarter, Naxal
  • Sajha Petrol Pump, Balkhu
  • Sajha Petrol Pump, Pulchowk
  • Indreni Petrol Pump, Sanepa
  • Army Pump, Lagankhel
  • Madhyapur Oil, Thimi
  • Guheshwori Fuel Center, Thimi
Distribution on Quota system
NOC implemented quota system on petrol products, coming into effect from today, four days after the unofficial blockade imposed by India on the major customs checkpoints at the Nepal-India border.
 According to the new plan, two-wheeler owners will get three liters. While a private four-wheeler will get 10 Litters per Week. Public vehicles can buy up to 30 litres every alternate day. "A taxi can purchase 10 liters, a bus 30 liters, and micro- and mini-buses 20 litres each." Buses belonging to schools or colleges can access 20 liters every alternate day.
Petrol stations have been instructed to keep records to avoid duplication. "Dealers will have to indicate the quantity of fuel on the vehicle registration book," Baral said.
